Vertra Capital is an independent asset management firm, established in May 2013, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Vertra Capital adopts a bottom-up fundamentalist investment philosophy, grounded on the continuous pursuit of knowledge. It values the quality of the companies it invests in, as well as the quality of their management teams, maintaining value discipline. It conducts original, proprietary research, enabling it to diverge from the market consensus, identify good investment opportunities and continuously monitor internal and external factors with the potential to bring additional risks or affect the value of its investees. Whenever possible, it associates its investments with catalysts that can accelerate the convergence of market prices to its perceived intrinsic value.
Vertra Capital believes in the benefits of focus, and thus works with a single equity investment strategy, represented by Vertra FIC FIA (domestic fund for Brazilian investors only). From this main product other products can be derived, such as Vertra Institutional FIC FIA (another domestic fund for Brazilian investors only), which, following the restrictions imposed on the institutional segment, primarily reflects the long portfolio of Vertra FIC FIA.
One of Vertra Capital’s strengths is the structure of its partnership model, which aims to optimize the capacity to attract and motivate talents and strengthen the team’s continuity in the long term.
The partners invest a significant portion of their wealth in the funds, optimizing the alignment of interest with their clients.
